Pushpanjali is usually the first piece performed in a Bharatanatyam Margam. It begins with the offering of flowers and is followed by an invocation of a deity through a verse. This pushpanjali invokes Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the patron of arts and learning. Through this invocatory piece, the dancer pays homage to Lord Ganesha, the guru, the musicians, and the audience, creating an auspicious beginning to the performance.

This course offers a comprehensive learning experience through foundational chapters that prepare students before learning the choreography. These modules cover essential movements, common corrections, rhythmic structure, and relevant theoretical context. The Teaching & Demonstration section is designed like an interactive live class, where the instructor recites, demonstrates, and encourages practice. Beyond teaching steps, the course fosters precision, awareness, and mindfulness in every movement.
